Acustica Audio LAVA Review #Acusticaaudio #lava #microphone
Neve knows that a lot of people will want the summing plugin. I own it myself, but at the same time they’re taking care of their business partners UA. Which they should. I own every Neve UA plug-in available, if it weren’t for UA I wouldn’t have access to the really great Neve sound UA has made available to us. In other words; UA has made Neve a boatload of cash. One hand washes the other. They could just let you bypass the UA hardware, they’ve simply chosen not to do that.
Hey man, is this still a good plugin??? I would like to try it but its windows 32 bit only! Is there a better equivalent now? thanks
I haven't found anything like it since
@@Yishinyourear wow got to get it! thanks
very noice video
Super! Why when loading a new sample, the tuning of the envelope of the (ADSR) discarded?)
What's new...not a lot
ON SALE NOW!
Really like the daw but it crashes a lot. Good thing it automatically save sessions
Hold up.. It sounds like ableton live all over again. Can't get over the upgrade price, though.
Why does the sidechain sound so bad? :/
New sub. Like your flow and delivery.
I dont need any of the new devices. Browser and sequencer update do seem worth the upgrade. Ill probaby wait for it to go onsale.
I am in the minority of those who are not impressed. For me, the price of the update is inflated for what I find valuable. Also, they removed Favorites for devices which is a deal breaker for me coming from version 12. I think RS takes ideas from RE devs and include those as new features. I am sure you can find a device in the shop that does similar, if not the same as these new utilities, which makes this update even less valuable if you already own them. Pump RE is a perfect example of this. On another note, beats🔥🔥🔥..as usual.💯
Another fantastic demonstration by Yish the Savant! 🎶🎹🎶🎸
And still basic sequencer tools are still missing 🤣🤣🤣 after 20 years : ha ha ha Rember, this is the same company that charged 200 dollars for HD version : crappy zoom and vst 3 support Not another dime for them ever ...................
I'll update to make relevant content because nobody will be searching for Reason 12 videos anymore.
Nice. Messing with 2.1 and your video got me caught up with some of the changes I didn't know about for 2.0
13 is a great update. For us Reason DAW users this one is really really nice.
nothing really new, nothing we dont know already, its just reason 12 with a couple of updates
Not really correct.

why not display all channel parameters in the sequencer like in Arturia Spark, as is done in Arturia Spark! You can automate anything and then the sequencer will come to life a hundred times over!
Thank you for the review! Sounds very good. What is your computer specs?
You're welcome! Specs: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x 64gb ram. Win 11
Great Song again, love it!
Luna is amazing. My main mixing console. NOT my tool for writing though, that'll be Studio One and Reason depending on music genre. But for mixing, just wow with the built in strips, summing and tape emulations. I own the Luna Pro bundle.
Just when I thought it was safe !!!!!!!! Lol
🤣
CPU usage?
It's low to moderate, of course it depends on Computer Specs, OS, and DAW used. On my system in FLStudio its about 8% of the CPU
sungloW is magic
Great video explaining all the functions in your style. I really like how you did it. I can definitely tell the Sunglow sounds better, but (personal preference) the comparison would have been more striking if you switched between the level-matched bypass and Sunglow version every 2 bars.
Thanks and I agree. I struggled deciding between that and what I chose, with the motion graphics and time leading me to my decision.
Thanks for the (as always) fantastic review. Much appreciated. Looking forward to your project when it's ready. ✌🏽💜🎶
Quality as always, thanks!

@@Yishinyourear #tldr TL;DR? In all fairness, Iike I said once before: I am dissing myself too like this. I could have been working on my forth album by now. I put out one and one mixtape back in 2017. The official LP/Album/CD got redacted by TuneCore for lack of clarity because Waves Clarity VX AI noise reduction wasn't out back then, and TuneCore said that they reviewed the album and it lacked clarity and there was too much noise in the background. Waves X-Noise STereo was the only NR plugin I could find back (but I didn't have a gate LoL - my ignorance of music engineering back then) then so home recording wasn't at its apex unlike NOW!!!!!!!!!!! TuneCore was right; my music lacked that professional umph they were looking for; they wanted me to put some professional ummph in it as if I were Jagged Edge featuring Ashanti. I was out of tune half of the time and the sound quality wasn't there because I was recording in a storage unit that had electric, I had a USB condenser mic (i.e. MXL USB.009 - - it had become stolen by some M E Xs at the Phoenix Greyhound station - - tell ya' another time LoL) and plugins weren't as good seven years ago as they are for the last 3 years. i used to mix with too much sheen high end to my "masters" (sounded like "amateurs" if you get my drift). Now I am like YOU: waiting for perfection (which Acustica Audio WINE and Auburn Sounds LENS as recent discoveries has made me feel like, "Okay buddy, you're the pot calling the kettle black so when are we going to get you - yes you in the mirror - some bangers out there??!") It's becoming harder and harder to record outside of traditional studios ("A fool and his money will soon part" and I wasn't trying to pay $50 USD an hour to write, recorder, mix and master. WTF?! Sheeeeee*tttttt!) I want to do this process in the "abyss" of my abode - my apartment - bka my home of sorts. It's becoming harder due to how p*ss-poorly apartments are not sound proof anymore like the 70s and 80s...So the other day, I decided to record in another location paying paltry amount of rent so that I can concentrate and make this right: not soundproof but no barking dogs, no loud people, no cigarettes, very safe and quiet and paltry/cheap. I'd love to share my new music with you once it comes to fruition if you don't mind. I have been like R. Kelly, and write songs in a [mental] prison waiting for the right parameters to be passed through the subprocedure so it'll return the ideal environment, and that has just happened when i found this place the other day. I would have emailed this to you, but I didn't think you'd respond. Welp, I'll drop new stuff in weeks to come.
Great ‘ wip ‘ 👌
Excited for this 👍
Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiishhhh🔥🔥

As usual, an excellent video.
Great explanation, thanks! :)
Bro, your demos are the best on YT, and your musical talent is remarkable!
Thank you!
Great review! Thanks for all you did here! I purchased Wine, it adds a lot of warmth and character. On your mix, the one thing I did prefer in the "before" Wine mix was the warmth and smoothness of the bgvs. Besides that one preference, I enjoyed everything else. Great job!
Hi quick question pls - as far as I know no one has addressed this. Can you help me pls? I don’t want sonible to re-eq instruments that I’ve spent considerable time shaping to what sounds good to me. Why would anyone want generic instrument eq curves applied? However, I do l like the offer of spectral mixing the song using sonible without messing with my instrument eq’s? Sorry about the essay! If not possible with sonible I’ll just use Trackspacer to carve out clashing frequencies. I asked sonible this question only to be ignored. Thanks😊
It's a lot like trackspacer in some respects but way more control, and you can dial it back,as well as make adjustments with its manual eq options. The strong point is that it eases harsh resonance for a more natural sound. It can be subtle in its results. The group options is where it works similar to trackspacer though.
@@Yishinyourear Is there any way I can NOT eq the individual instruments in Sonible then use the spectral balancing in the group function? Thanks for the reply btw 👍
Yes. Just do the capture in the groups, and it will take all the parts into consideration based on the built in hierarchy you set up
@@Yishinyourear Okay, great - thanks!
TLDR: Because of a licensing quirk with Neve, you have to have at least 1 DSP based hardware device on your account to "Purchase" the Neve Summing extension. It, however, runs on your CPU.
So wait, my question is, i understand you need the hardware to purchase it, but do you have to have said hardware (ie a satellite) connected/active in your account to USE Neve Summing if you are using LUNA? In other words, let’s say you have an Apollo and buy Neve summing, then sell the Apollo later, will Neve summing still be usable in LUNA?
Hmm, thats one to ask in the UA forum. But I would think that if you purchased the summing before selling your gear you could still use it after selling, its only the purchasing that is restricted.
This makes no sense to me. I have the API summing and I don’t have any hardware. Why oh why is the Neve different? Maybe it’s a licensing thing. Who knows.
@@edmcguire4926 That's exactly what it is.
To answer your question, you do not need to have it connected. I purchased it in June as I have 2 Solo Dsp pcie cards, but because I have an AMD pc, they(dsp cards) do not work on this system, but the neve extension is working in Luna.
I'm getting more into Acustica Audio plugins but for those wanting a great API based EQ, Sonimus also makes a great version. They even went to sweepable freq settings (and not just the notched preselected frequencies). Salt is a great concept and I might get it a try.
